| Ian started directing with a local pantomime group over 20 years ago, and was then invited to direct for Belper Musical Theatre. He has since directed West Side Story, South Pacific, King and I, and Gigi for the Rolls Royce Operatic Society, and now directs for the Ripley and Alfreton Operatic Society and has produced, the shows Hello Dolly, Pajama Game, Anything Goes, Half a Sixpence and South Pacific. Ian has been a member of Derby Opera Company for over 30 years both an actor and stage manager for the company. Ian is very keen on the technical side of theatre and as well as directing has built a number of large sets, and has worked with the Derby Playhouse helping with sets for professional performances. | Peter has a B.Ed degree and is Head teacher at Park House Primary School at Lower Pilsley near Chesterfield. Peter has been the Organist at Swanwick Methodist Church for almost 40 years and Choirmaster for 26 years. Peter is also the Musical Director for the Spotlight Theatre Companty who perform at the Pomegranite Theatre Chesterfield and Buxton Opera House. He has been Musical Director or Accompanist for many local societies. Peter has returned to the Ripley and Alfreton Operatic Society after an absence of 16 years having previously been our Musical Director in "Call Me Madam" (1985) and "Finian's Rainbow" (1986). | Member of R.A.D. A.I.S.T.D. M.N.A.T.D. A.N.A.T.D. Linda became interested in Amateur Dramatics as a result of her parents involvement in the Society, and attended shows as a child. Later attending dance college at Chester and qualified as a Teacher in all area's of Dance. After qualifying Linda Taught in Sevenoaks for 3 years and now runs her own Dance School. Linda became Choreographer for the Ripley and Alfreton Operatic Society for our 1987 performance of South Pacific and has continued as choreographer for R.A.O.S. and other local societies since. | ||
